Doi Inthanon is the highest mountain in Thailand. It is located in Mae Cham District. The mountain was also known in the past as Doi Luang (meaning big mountain) or Doi Ang Ka, meaning the crow's pond top. Near the mountain's base was a pond where many crows gathered. The name Doi Inthanon was given in honor of the king Inthawichayanon, one of the last kings of Chiang Mai, who was concerned about the forests in the north and tried to preserve them. He ordered that after his death his remains shall be placed at Doi Luang, which was then renamed.

More Information & activity The location of park was chosen to provide a natural habitat. We would like to teach visitors about the importance elephant preservation and proper eating, sleeping, bathing, and exercising methods. The method of providing exercise for elephants and a learning experience for visitors was allow visitors to a limited extent and to ride elephants "bareback."
- We will drive from the hotel to a local market where we can buy a fresh fruits for feeding to elephants. Then take drive through agricultural Thai countryside about 1 hour to Elephant camp where you learn, how to be a Mahout (Elephant caretaker).
- At the park, the guide will give you first useful information about Thai elephants. You get instructions for guiding and riding your own elephant as well you get the chance to feed them.
- After lunch, it’s time to show what you had learnt in the morning. You sit on the back of the elephant and try to control its to ride though the beautiful jungle
- Also you can learn how to guide the elephant into the river. you will get the new skills of bathing and washing your elephant. The guide will take some picture of you while you take care in bathing your elephant.

On the way we will stop at the local market to buy some supplies. After that we continue drive to Shan village nearby the elephant camp where we will have lunch there. After lunch we will make a safari by Elephant riding about 1 hour. The ride takes you through forested scenic walks, open areas with views of the surrounding hills as well as the fields of hill tribe people.
